so, i recently started my summer job of painting and for the next 7 weeks i am on a gig all by myself. luckily, i have an ipod. Unfortunately, i’m obsessed with learning and so I don’t want to merely listen to music — i want to be able to educate myself as well. So do any of you out there know of podcasts that I could subscribe to that would help me pass the time? any category, and any realm

Hey Joel,
Starting next week we’ll be launching podcasts of the talks from the Reform and Resurge 2006 conference that just happened. We’ll have one a week for 11 weeks. Guys like Darrin Patrick, Ed Stetzer, Anthony Bradley, Tim Keller and Matt Chandler… good stuff… Here’s the list: http://theresurgence.com/reform_resurge_conference_2006

Sweet. It’s funny that these are coming out on podcasts because i wanted to go to that conference but wasn’t able to — so I was hoping that Mars Hill church would follow with its technology trend and post them. So thanks for doing so Jon. I can’t wait to listen to them.
And thanks tim. those podcasts may help me get one of my dreams up and running sooner than later.

I enjoy several public radio podcasts:
Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me
WNYC’s Please Explain with Leonard Leopate
Minnesota Public Radio show “Midmorning”
And a daily sports talk show from ESPN: PTI
And for my political fix: NBC’s Meet The Press
For a God-fix, I like listening to Greg Boyd at Woodland Hills church in MN.
Hope those help.
Just an FYI, the Resurgence Podcast went online this morning.

Joel. Just found your website as I dream of Mars Hill, and wonder when God might take me there. I have found painting to be his direction. And it is nice to find someone else in a similar job. I write about my painting moments in moments on my blog, I would be interested to hear your experiences with the brush and what spiritual is found there. As far as good words on mp3, there is a website called christianaudio.com that offers a free monthly audiobook. This month it is Martin Luther. There are also some other freebie things… my blog is www.xanhood.typepad.com
